Alcohol Inks

I do love my alcohol inks. Sure I don't use them enough, and even less feature them here, but I do love them. But as much as I do, Omar loves them even more. Last Sunday, we had loads of chores to do but by the evening we finished them and I decided to do some crafting together. So, I took two glass bottles and each decorated one with alcohol inks.

This is Omar's. Trust me, mine wasn't as good. Unfortunately, Omar did a much better job than me. He even gave me tips on how to achieve a better result! My crafting pride was on the floor.

Next project: his helmut. Or so he keeps saying.

Details, Details, Details

Of the ATC box.

So you can see here that the front is very raised. How did I do it?

Underneath that black cardstock there is block of white Styrofoam. Then I use a band of card around it.

You can see here that the black card is larger than the standard ATC size. The clip is not attached in any way so it is rather easy to change the ATC's.

And here, on the opposite side, the little pockets can hold up to ten ATC in each one.

More flowers

This is part two of two of the flowers I made for last week demo at Crafts U Love using just the circle nestabilities, Wisteria papers and some extras.

Yesterday I got to spend the day crafting at a trade event organized by Delish Designs UK with my friend Julie. I had a fantastic time just crafting without the pressure of being the person in charge. The Delish stuff is gorgeous and Debbie the tutor was fabulous. If you ever get the chance to do one of their retreats I think you should try them.

Tools

Most of you may know that i am crazy for anything craft storage related, hence the creation of the blog craftystorage.blogspot.com. But I mostly get the ideas from recycling items from Ikea, rather than altering things that are meant to be altered. I am trying to change the chip because, let me tell you, there is awsome stuff out there that is so so so easy to alter. Just like this pen pot. Trust me, coffee tins are a thing of the past. This little wooden pot is so pretty once altered and the process is so much straight forward that I am hooked.

Photo frame

One of the projects at did for Stitches this year was this photo frame using the Love Letters collection, can you tell I love those papers? And the photo too, provably my most used photo.

This past weekend we did quite a lot of house work mostly in the garden but also I got a new shelf in my studio which has made a big difference in my opionion, I will upload photos of my studio later this week.
Now, back to work and to write a few articles that I have in the pipeline.

Photo Box

This was one of my favorite projects that I did for Stitches. I used the Bittersweet range from Basic Grey and a cigar wooden box from Kars.

Xmas decor

Last year, I saw on the internet a lovely idea on how to make little snowflake trees ornaments for the real size Christmas trees over at Better Homes and Gardens website. The idea made me to make me do a tree stand alone using the Cricut Expressions -click here to see it. The original, which was deep red is in my mum's house, the white one should be in a shop. So this year I decided to go traditional and make it in green, even though is not the proper Christmas green.

Sometimes when I am demonstrating the Cricut expressions people think that I have gone crazy because I say often that I love it so much. Well it is not faking that love, I honestly love it, it is so versatile and useful in all sorts of occasions, its great for cardmaking, scrapbooking, home decor and even children entertainment.

I also did a snowflake wreath for my studio window using snowflakes cut in different sizes in white card using the layers function -so it is even more 3D.

All of this ornaments have been done with the Joy of the Season cartridge.
